Empire Buffet in Howard Beach

I had to give it one star in order to write a Review anyway this is a disgraceful place! Honestly think before going to eat at this Buffet people. This place must be shut down long story short, I found ROACH in my food! What the heck in New Howard Beach really!!!! what a disgrace sad... first of all the server was like it’s just a seafood bug never seen one or heard of it ridiculous!!! She proceeds to show this to the manager I presume and then she says it’s ok!!! What’s ok a ROACH IN MY FOOD NO!!!!!!!! Disgustingly horrible!!! Then she has the audacity to charge us $3.00 for my soda LMAO If the Health Dept doesn’t close this place down I have to say it’s insane!!!!! I actually threw the $3.00 on the counter and walked out!!!!!!

Not a Good greeting to begin with, dry food, horrible taste, very poor service the Chinese lady didn't stop looking at us I felt like a guard on top of us. The place smell old and damp, it's all patch up...and at the price is super high...ppl avoid this place for the price I paid here I could of spend it some where with better service and better food

I see why all the other 3 star places. Service wasnt really there, food was alright worse than supermarket premade food but. Food was safe you can get your moneys worth. Nothing questionable.

I would not recommend Empire buffet to anyone that I like. The place looks like it needs a total makeover. The carpet is dirty and old, the waitresses are not friendly at all. They look like they don't even want to be there. The food looked like it was cooked the day before. The food didn't look fresh at all. I would not go back there again. I thought I was gonna get sick.

This is where my family love to eat once in a while

A very old building houses this buffet. The bathrooms are filthy and so is the carpeting in the dinning area. The food was somewhat presentable however it was not that great when it came to flavor. For a quick eat, nothing fancy, and you want to binge eat there are better buffets but if you're close then this is an option.

There were not many options and the food tastes so bland. This place over the years has gotten worse. When I got home, the food left my mouth dry for hours and made me so drowsy in the morning. The waitresses were okay and the establishment was “clean” but I would not recommend anyone to come here. This place isn’t vegetarian friendly and there aren’t many healthy options. Some of the food options were unavailable.

Food was horrible , cold and old . The waiters get mad when groups of people walk in and they pack away the food way before closing . They also don't take away your old plate so you feel more comfortable. They are very rude , the waitress will bring you your check .. Basically they kick you out with their looks

Don't waste your time or money. This place is disgusting! I saw people come on and throw their plates down saying the place is disgusting. The food is hard ,smells bad, ice cream scoop was growing mold. Asked for assistance and was told no and to wait ,and they also pretend not to speak English.

The food is incredible- very authentic Northern Italian. We have been patrons at the restaurant for over 4 years and just recently had a party there. We rented out the restaurant- it was a great day. Booking the event was very easy and the owners were very accommodating. The good was delicious, the portions were generous and the staff stood on their heads to please us. Would definitely recommend either dinner or for a private party.

Atmosphere always relaxing.. Staff is very nice.. They are on top of cleaning and organizing.. Crab legs and shrimp dishes are good.. As well as ginger crab .. Roast beef and carrots are really good like home cooked.. Fruit is fresh.. Worth the money.. Can not get salad dinner and desert cheaper...

I give it 4 stars food was delicious but it was very cold inside. There could have been more variety of food. I wouldn't recommend it.

I've been going to this place for many years and I will never go again after my last visit actually after my last three visits. Some of the staff has some serious attitude problems I went for lunch on my last visit and there was really really nothing there you could really want to eat that's my first time I go for lunch I always go for dinner.

This place is not the place to go to. The staff isn't nice & they pretend not to speak English. They watch over you like your in prison or something. Plus the place isn't clean. As soon as you walk in, there's a nasty smell. Just go somewhere else, you'll be better off.

They offer a flat all you can eat price, there's parking available so it's very convenient, not too much traffic in the area, I personally love their season food options, and their desserts. one of the best buffet in the area.

The place is fine but could be better. For example, it needs a lot more cleaning than this. The graffiti in the bathroom walls gotta be taken out. They need to also repaint the entire place.Also, they need to really do a rebeautification of the place to match the beach it borders. Will I come back again? No. The food was okay. The ribs needs to be a lot more tender than this; what I had was very hard and difficult to cute through or chew. The staff were good, however the place needs a lot more than just good food and good staff. The lights, ceilings and yes the glass gotta be clean more often.ALSO ICE CREAM MACHINE IS AN ISSUE. PLEASE BUY A NORMAL ICE CREAM MACHINE AND SEPARATE THEM AND BUY A NORMAL ICECREAM MACHINE. THANKS.I wouldn't discourage you to eat there, but I wouldn't go back. Thats all.

This place smells terrible. The appearance is so ghetto. It was disgusting. The fruit were stale and softening. Wasn't sure if the chicken was really chicken. I do not recommend this place especially for families. My kids didn't eat anything. The prices are really outrageous

Food was tasty, I loved the coconut chicken, and the ice cream was delicious

Its OK for a fast bite but they have gotten bad compare to a few years ago. The menu it OK still not that flavorful no more

Small step above a lot of buffets. Roast duck is good. I would give it 3.5 stars. Kind of grungy look but buffet looks well kept. Food is well made n fresh.

Very worth the trip. Russo on the Bay is 2 blocks south but charges 20 times more. Just the view alone worth the 10.95 they charge for lunch. Wonder why they didn't post the window seat pic which is great marketing where some waterview restaurants charge premium prices!!

the food is good but the waiters need to learn some manners, if you want a tip then they should be nicer. They stand around waiting for you to leave ugh so RUDE!!!!! Watch out they will charge you a % for leaving to much food on your plate too.

Okay place for all you can eat buffet. Place has to get some serious renovations and the health department may come knocking due to flies and fruit flies flying around. One time visit no more.

I'm into buffet dining, in Queens with the masses you have the time limit thing going on in others and also the ones where you order all you can eat off a menu, no good for me. I call this dive type buffet my go to buffet. No frills, basic Chinese fare.. Don't expect too much, its a no frills buffet, and since I'm not a restaurant fan to begin with , this place suits me fine. A nice plus is that there's tables that are on the canal adjacent to the restaurant, a very pleasant view too. Another is the free parking lot, and on street availability. And reasonable prices too.

Hope everyone loves the taste of rat feces on their food, this place has a reputation for poor hygiene maintenance, in all aspects. Used to be a very elegant and family friendly environment, I assume since its gone under new management things have really changed for the worse.

I've been to this restaurant about 5 times and I just love it. The staff are always respectful, and kind. The food it fresh and there's a wide variety to choose from. It's an all you can eat buffet and affordable for the whole family.

Food- under seasoned, cold, and the chief needs to be fired as soon as possible.Decorating- I don't like eating next to mold filled walls while the broke wallpaper tries to cover it.Smell- Sweaty men and rotten fish.Staff- looks depressedDO NOT TAKE ANYONE YOU LOVE HERE!...Someone close this place down now 🤦🏻‍♀️

So much food!!!!! For a reasonable price you get a wide variety of food and deserts. Don't expect restaurant quality taste however it's a great experience. I personally fill my plate with crab legs. It is also located in a prime location, making it easy to find and it has a car park. It's a nice place for a family drive and dine.

I've been going her since I we little. It's a nice place to eat by the water. If you've spent the day at Rockaway Beach, it's enjoyable to spend some time here. The food options are great. There are also dessert options for you to choose from. They also do parties if you'd like. Overall, it's a place I go to from time to time.

My experience at Empire Buffet was horrible. We came here for my friends birthday expecting a good quick dinner and that was not the case. It was quick but it was NOT GOOD!!!! I've seen much more appealing foods at other Chinese buffets. Majority of the foods here look at taste unappetizing. We still gave it a chance until my first friend found a hair in her string bean and then my second friend found a hair on her lo-mein. It's NOT sanitary!!!!!!!!! Horrible experience do NOT eat here !! Waitresses are rude, atmosphere is dingy and it smells like mouldy water in here!!!!!!!!!!!!

The food is so delicious there I love this place its my favorite Buffet in the whole world

My mother and I been coming here for years. The food always on point. Staff caters to your every need!!Excellent area. Clean bathroom. My favorite part is that children can not serve them selves. They will stop them if too young.

This place is ok,not the best all you can eat but one of the better ones in this area of queens. definitely better than the one on Atlantic ave. i use to come here all the time with my family.but as i became more health conscience i realized that this place needs to be visited very limited nothing wrong with it, but its not gonna "wow" you either.

It's ok. The only decent Chinese buffet in the area. The food is ok. It could be a little hotter. By the time you fill your plate and sit down, the food is cold already. The staff is not very friendly either.

The food is alright. Can't expect too much from a Chinese buffet, but they do have a good selection. My mom likes the place so my family has been going on and off for ages, the decor needs a major upgrade. I'm sure they've had all the chairs and tables from when they first opened. The "waitresses" are super rude. I doubt anyone can really get their money's worth. We had just grabbed dessert and they already left the check on our table. Then the waitress came over to us and looked at her watch 3 times! They have a time limit during busy times but we weren't even there for an hour. Not sure why they felt they needed to rush us out.

The food was cold u had to wait a long time for hot food.The variety was poor. If u want good food dont come here.

Food was good and so was service. Price was reasonable. 15 gets u all u could eat.

Food was pretty good. Some more than others. We were not offered refills, had to wait 15 minutes for the table to be cleared. Had to ask for salt and pepper. The smell when walking through the door was a bit of a turn off... didn't smell like good cooking.

It was okay for what it is. No real variety of food. Its the same as anywhere else you go. The crab legs at dinner were really small and not worth the price.

I will not even offer my time to leave a review about this place. All I can say is never ever again. If I was able to leave zero stars I would have.

The waterfall is the best thing in the restaurant
